GIVING WORDS TO IMAGINATION

Poem: Mother by Amirtha Natarajan

She has the sweetest name, Mother
She cares about me like no other.
Though I just gave her pain, she only gives me love and care.
Her eyes were stern when I needed a lesson.
When I ate too much candy she told me to lessen.
Times when I was selfish she told me to share.
And that’s why she takes the place of my dear mother.
