GIVING WORDS TO IMAGINATION

Poem By Nandini Agarwala

Poverty

Poor’s abstract noun it is,
Can you guess what it is?
You are right, it is poverty,
They don’t have any property.

Most found in Burundi,
Here, poverty is primary.
It’s my guarantee,
They don’t have royalty.

The government should act reasonably,
Poor people are treated terribly.
But they speak honestly,
So, please don’t judge them plausibly.

Whispers

Here and There,
You are everywhere.
When someone whispers like secret,
Everyone wants to know it.

When someone whispers in someone’s ear,
We have tears.
Cuz they don’t tell us,
the thing they tell them.

When we hear someone talking,
They call it eavesdropping.
When someone says, they were eavesdropped
I say, ‘Why do you whisper? Aloud you talk.’

Cinquain: Cake

Cake
Sweet, Soft
Baked, Cut, Eaten
I want a Piece
Delicious

Haiku-Winter

Heaters are switched on,
It is my favorite time,
Blankets are heaven.
